Introduction
¡¡¡¡ During the past three years, Shanghai JC Intelligence Co., Ltd. (JCI) has successfully held six semi-annual conferences on Chinese grains, oils and feed raw materials market and received good reputation among market insiders, along with participants increasing from the beginning of over 200 to around over 500 on the passed conference hold in Shenzhen. Based on the experience from the past six conferences, Shanghai JCI is to hold the 4th JCI Autumn Conference on Chinese Feed Market on September 5-6, 2008, Friday-Saturday, in Southwest China's Chengdu, Sichuan province, which will be the third bilingual conference held by JCI with simultaneous interpretation. For the coming conference, JCI has already gained the sponsorship from US Grains Council, American Soybean Association-International Marketing (ASA-IM), International Fishmeal and Fishoil Organization (IFFO) and Noble Grains.
¡¡¡¡In the past year 2007, Chinese feed and breeding industry was quite uncommon, with most feedstuff raw material prices setting new highs and both edible oils and pork prices breaking record one after another, which has aroused wide attention from the central government to civilians. Chinese government has taken great measures aiming to curb the soaring consumer price index (CPI) and ease the pressure from inflation.
¡¡¡¡In year 2008, JCI deems that there will be of much hope and opportunity to Chinese feed and breeding industry, as Chinese feed and breeding industry is expected to enter another prosperous development cycle after 2005 under strengthened support from the government and matured consumption from domestic market. However, different from the situation in 2005, the development cycle for Chinese feed and breeding industry is expected to last much longer, with the development of industrialized enterprises and regional consumption more conspicuous and margin profits more centralized. In particular, the development of those enterprises with integration, brands and correct market orientation will be more noticeable.
¡¡¡¡As the main raw materials for feed, corn, soymeal and fishmeal have long been the focus in the market. How corn, soymeal and fishmeal supply/demand will change and what corn, soymeal and fishmeal prices will move in year 2008 have not only attracted the wide attention among insiders but also become the key factors to decide the margin profits for Chinese feed and breeding industry.
¡¡¡¡In order to bring some enlightenment, JCI has invited renowned experts from international organizations as well as domestic enterprises to discuss with us hot topics like the status quo and future trend of Chinese feed market. We believe that this spring conference will provide you a great opportunity to learn and communicate with other enterprises.
