15th JCI Autumn Conference on China Feed Raw Materials Market

Sep. 26-27, 2019, Thursday-Friday, Nanning, Guangxi, China

During the past 14th JCI Spring Conference held on March 21-22 in Wuzhen, there were many different views expressed and forecasts made regarding supply/demand of corn, soymeal, fishmeal, sorghum and DDGS. Topics such as Sino-US trade relation, impact of ASF on Chinese feed consumption and feed ingredients purchase strategy have also been discussed and participants have learnt some insightful thoughts through discussion. The conference has attracted high attention of over 700 participants from China and other countries.

Based on the experience of our past 28 semi-annual conferences, JCI is to hold the 15th JCI Autumn Conference on Chinese Feed Raw Materials Market on Sep. 26-27, 2019, Thursday-Friday, in Nanning of Guangxi, SW China. The conference will be held together with our long-standing partners of U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and The Marine Ingredients Organisation (IFFO) and will also be served with simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and English by experienced interpreters.

The Sino-US trade war has come to the tough period and agricultural products trade has been badly affected, which has brought great challenges to Chinese feed and breeding industry. Besides, African Swine Fever (ASF) is still spreading in China, threatening survival of companies in the lower end of the industry. The whole feed industry is under extensive readjustment again. Meanwhile, we noticed that Chinese economy is facing uncertainties, though main indicators are showing stability. A series of policies to stimulus economy, ensure supply and boosting consumption has increased people’s concerns about inflation which could bring great challenges to economic development in medium and long run and consequently break the supply/demand balance of feed materials supply. The whole industry will have to work together to carefully study the situation and figure out ways to deal with the risks.

The Sino-US trade relation is still unclear, El Nino development is also complicated, import trade is changing while ASF is spreading, feed and breeding industry is under great adjustment. To well adapt to these changes and get well prepared for the challenges and opportunities, particularly possible grain import boom in case of any good-turning of Sino-US trade relation, financial derivatives becomes very important tools to hedge risks.

It is right under this background that JCI, together with our long-standing partners of U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and The Marine Ingredients Organisation (IFFO) will hold the 15th JCI Autumn Conference on Chinese Feed Raw Materials Market on Sep. 26-27, 2019, in Wanda Vista Hotel Nanning, SW China. We hope to discuss, together with you, about the market move of main feed raw materials, business strategies and risk control, which we believe will sparkle your new thoughts and bring you more business value.
